How does the game work?

You pick who you think is going to win each matchup of the tournament. You earn points for each correct pick. See our Official Rules page for a detailed explanation of the gameplay.

When is the deadline to enter my picks?

For the Pick as You Go contest, you can make and/or change your picks for each matchup up to 15 minutes before the matchup is scheduled to start. The pick deadline for each matchup is clearly marked on the My Picks page. For the Pick Up Front contest, you can make and/or change your picks up to 15 minutes before the scheduled start time of the first tournament matchup.

What if I don't pick a winner of a matchup?

In the Pick As You Go contest, if you don't pick the winner of a matchup, a winner will be picked automatically for you based on which team has been picked most by other players. However, you cannot win a prize for that round unless you make your own picks for that round. In the Pick Up Front contest, if you don't pick the winner of a matchup, you will earn 0 points for that specific matchup.

What is a VIP Pick?

The site you are playing on may choose to feature VIP Picks so that you can compare your picks to and try to beat the "experts". You do not have to choose a VIP Pick when making your own picks; they are just featured so you can compare your picks try to earn a higher score than the VIP Picks.

If the tournament has already started, can I still play?

Yes. You may still compete in the Pick As You Go contest for round-by-round prizes but you will not be eligible for the overall prize. You will not be able to compete in the Pick Up Front contest unless you submit your picks at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time of the first matchup.

How does the scoring work?

Each round is worth 64 points. First Rund matchups are worth 2 points each, Second Round matchups are worth 4 points each, Third Round matchups are worth 8 points each, Fourth Round matchups are worth 16 points each, Fifth Round matchups are worth 32 points each and the Sixth Round matchup is worth 64 points.

How can I form a private group?

You can form your own private group by visiting the Create a Private Group page. To create a private group, you simply create a group name, group password and then input the email addresses of all of your friends that you would like to invite to the private group.

How can I join a private group?

You can form your own private group by visiting the Join a Private Group page. To join a private group, simply enter the group name and group password and then click the “Join Group” button.

How can I submit a video or photo?

Step 1: Pick a category, Fill in the Title (required), Keywords and Body. The keywords are words that people might use to find your submission, and the body is a description of the scenario in the photo or video.
Step 2: If you are submitting a video, click on "Select Your Video." Browse for it and attach it in the popup window. Do not close the popup window. It will close automatically. If you are submitting a photo, click on the "Browse" button in the image section. Find a picture stored on your computer and open it. Fill in the Image Caption field with description of the photo.
Step 3: Remember to read the Terms of Use. Click submit.
